Was reading the blog on gear bags and had some thoughts you may find useful. I have a roller bag made by Fox which is huge and has held up a long time using it both for car and air trips. There are boot compartments on each end which are great except when I have the handle out and rolling it puts weight up high. That coupled with no base on the wheel end encourages it to fall over. Sounds trivial but a noticeable irritant. Those compartments are vented and are separated by a material which mud really doesn’t stick to - both nice features. The other thing this bag does well is allow me piggy back stuff quick and easy because the soft handles are both long and Velcro together (like a lot of duffles). Lastly it would be great if the bag is not taller than the depth of my truck bed. Mine is so with my bed cover on I have to drag it push it crush it if I close my cover. Anyway, thanks for listening and can’t wait to see your bag as mine is ready for replacement soon.
