If you’re looking to run Mosko Moto Backcountry Panniers (V2.5) on a CFMOTO Ibex 450 with the OEM CFMOTO pannier racks, here’s what we currently know — and what to check before purchasing adapters.
At this time, we have not officially tested the Backcountry Panniers on the OEM Ibex 450 racks. That means we can’t guarantee direct compatibility out of the box. However, we do offer BMW rack adapters that can sometimes be made to work with non-BMW rack systems, depending on rack geometry.
Adapter Options & Measurements
We offer two BMW-style pannier adapters that are often adaptable to other rack systems:
- BMW Oil cooled BMW adapter: 65 mm offset
- BMW Water-Cooled Adapter: 70 mm offset
To determine whether either adapter could work with your OEM Ibex 450 racks, you’ll need to measure the exhaust-side rack offset on your bike and compare it to the adapter dimensions above. Proper offset is critical for exhaust clearance, alignment, and overall stability.
What We Do Know
We’ve confirmed that the CFMOTO 800 is compatible with our BMW Water-Cooled Adapter (70 mm offset). Based on that, it’s possible the same adapter could work on the Ibex 450 — but since we haven’t tested it ourselves, this remains an assumption rather than a confirmed fitment.
Alternative Rack Option
If you’re open to switching racks and want a tested, confirmed solution, we recommend the:
- Outback Motortek — CFMOTO Ibex Standard Pannier Rack
We know this rack is compatible with our Backcountry Panniers and removes the guesswork around adapter fitment and exhaust clearance.
Our Recommendation
- If you want to try adapting your OEM racks: → Measure your exhaust-side offset and compare it to the adapter specs above.
- If you want a confirmed, no-guesswork setup: → Go with the Outback Motortek Ibex rack.
If you’re unsure which direction to go or want help interpreting your measurements, our Support team is happy to take a look before you purchase.
