Known Fitment Issues
Rear racks with known fit issues are listed below. Some of these can be made to work if you're handy and have access to tools:
|
F750/850GS BMW OEM Plastic Rear Rack The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) rear rack from BMW does not come with a pre-drilled hole for installing the Gnoblin. However, users have reported that the plastic is strong enough to drill a hole, allowing for a secure Gnoblin installation. |
BMW OEM Stainless Steel R 1200 GS / R 1250 GS / F 850 GS Adv Rack The BMW OEM Stainless Steel R 1200 GS / R 1250 GS / F 850/900 GS Adv Rack does not have built-in mounting points for the Gnoblin. However, with the addition of the SW-Motech ADVENTURE-RACK, the Gnoblin can be installed. Before proceeding, make sure to check compatibility with SW-Motech, as there are two versions of the OEM BMW rear rack—a long version and a short version. Be sure to confirm which one you have to ensure a proper fit. |
